Retro Styles...

My old headphones have an extremely long cable that tangles with great ease, and I was in need of a simple cable management solution. When I came across an old box of my Super 8 film spools, the solution was at hand.....

Maybe I could roll my AV cables on the 16mm reels, Xmas lights on the 35mm...mmmm...got me thinking....

So my trusty Poketo wallet finally died. Well not totally, but the only thing holding it together were the contents. Why spend money on something to hold money....

I have seen the old Mac Plus as a fish tank, but I wanted something different......

While digging through my box of cables to find a VGA adaptor I came across this old TV game. Pong has great memories for everyone, but unfortunately this one has been dead for a long time.

I really don't even know why I have held onto to this for so long, it has probably been out of action since '98.

Time to give it a bit of a life again......

Hope came home from work at Riot Art & Craft the other day with some new papers. Her excitement was not matched by my dread for all the lovey-dovey ones out there.

That was until I saw this cool robot design that I thought would be a nice door hanger for my nephew.

But this paper cutting gives me an idea, I may be back soon....

So, with this new blog kicking off I decided that I would like a nice title image for the site which embraced the idea behind it, a mix of craft and geek.

Starting with a canvas I didn't like, I walked around the house for hours until I came across a box of old keyboards...

It really looks very different under the scanner in comparison to real life.
