iClock

 A long time ago, my mate Ditto came around with his old iPod that wouldn't hold charge. I had a look and couldn't fix it, he had already replace the battery 3 times. There was no hope for it but I asked if I could keep it in the hopes of trying to get something out of it. Then 4 years later inspiration came in the form of a new desk clock, everybody needs a desk clock...

I started with disassembly.

But the clock assembly was a little too big for the small internal space

Needed to find about 5mm.

So I took to the metal backing with my Dremal.

Had to grind back some of the clock housing as well.

In the end I had a working clock with alarm and all...

Later I decided to make another from an old mints tin.
I do like the image I found in an old comic book.
